At Faith Lutheran Church, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to worship.
Our church is located at 820 W. Kenwood, and our entrance is in the back of the church...so drive all the way around to park and enter through the bright blue doors.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both. When you walk in, the ushers will greet you and give you a worship folder. If you have any questions about the service itself, the ushers are able to provide helpful answers and they can also point you to the restrooms and fellowship hall. We love to have all ages join us in worship, and you'll notice a children's "Pray/Play" area on one side of the sanctuary where families with young children are welcome to sit.
Our Sunday worship follows a "Liturgy" each week, which is an order of worship that all of the community participates in -- including confession of sin and forgiveness, hymns of praise and scripture readings, children's sermon and sermon, affirmations of faith, prayers and a communion service. Please know that all are welcome to participate in our communion service.. all ages, all backgrounds. No one is excluded from Christ's table.
We hope you will hang around after the service and join us for coffee in the fellowship hall. You'll have a chance to meet our pastor and many other people in the church. We'd also love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come.
