Warming Center 2017/2018

From November 15 through March 31, whenever the temperature drops to 30 degrees or lower at night, Faith Lutheran’s Fellowship Hall will be open for homeless people to come for a hot meal, have a safe, warm place to sleep, and enjoy breakfast in the morning.

Volunteers are needed to cover 4-hour shifts throughout the night. 

The Warming Center is also looking for the following donations:

¨ Shoes (winter weather proof men & women)

¨ Coats

¨ Weather proof gloves, beanies/hats (tight knit to keep head warm)

¨ Wool socks (no white socks)

¨ Sweat pants (med, large & xtra large)

¨ Hand warmers (the packet kind)

¨ Ear plugs

¨ Lip balm

¨ Backpacks

¨ Thermal clothing items (long johns, large & x-large)

¨ Small flashlights w/batteries (Dollar Store)

 

FOOD RELATED:

¨ Gift Cards for the Warming Center to purchase items for meals & supplies (Costco, Grocery Outlet, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Walmart etc…).

¨ Non-perishable snacks for guest to take for day use.
